Better than takeout, those shrimp egg rolls are delicious, flavourful, and smooth at home. They are nicely pro and full of shrimp (or prawns) and vegetables and function the crispiest golden brown pores and pores and pores and skin.
Shrimp Egg Rolls
I love cooking egg rolls in the air fryer because, in reality skipping the frying manner; they may be greater healthful and lighter (see all my air fryer recipes here). If you don’t have an air fryer, you may additionally bake them.

How to Make Shrimp Egg Rolls
Cooked birds or pork can be substituted for shrimp in this domestic-cooked version of a fave take-out food. Thaw frozen egg roll skins at room temperature.
First, make the filling. Coarsely reduce peeled and deveined shrimp into small portions on a smooth reducing board (about ¼-inch thick).
Then combine the shrimp in a huge mixing bowl alongside nearly everything else — cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, ginger, flour, hen bouillon powder, brown sugar, pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir lightly to mix lightly, and drain any extra liquid from the bowl. The filling has to be no longer too moist, as this could make the spring rolls soggy.
Ingredients
- 6 cups savoy or everyday cabbage, shredded
- One carrot, shredded
- half of a cup of glowing bean sprouts
- One celery stalk, diced
- 2 tbsp onion, chopped
- 1/four lb little one shrimp, tired
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp white pepper
- One egg, crushed
- corn starch
- 20 egg roll wrappers
- vegetable or canola oil for frying
Directions
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium warmth. Add ginger and garlic; prepare dinner until aromatic, about 1 minute. Stir in cabbage, bean sprouts, and oyster sauce; saute until greens turn translucent, about 5 minutes. Add shrimp and soy sauce, stir, and cast off from warm temperature. Set apart until the filling is cool and sufficient to cope with.
- Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet to 350 levels F (one hundred seventy-five stages C).
- While the oil is heating, region an egg roll wrapper on a dry painting ground. Spoon about one tablespoon of filling onto the centre of the wrapper. Pull the bottom left corner over the filling and fold the two aspects in, moistening edges with water as you pass; roll tightly to seal. Repeat to make more egg rolls, wiping the painting floor with each roll.
- Place numerous egg rolls in the warmness oil and fry until wrappers are golden brown five to 7 mins. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain while making and cooking dinner with the remaining egg rolls.
- Combine duck sauce, oyster sauce, and soy sauce; stir till well combined. Serve sauce with egg rolls.
